Course Description
The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering (EE) is a four-year undergraduate program that focuses on the generation, transmission, distribution, control, and efficient utilization of electrical energy. The program is designed to develop a strong understanding of electrical systems, power technologies, and modern engineering practices that support industrial and infrastructural growth.
The curriculum covers fundamental and advanced subjects such as electrical circuits, electromagnetic fields, electrical machines, power systems, power electronics, control systems, measurements and instrumentation, high-voltage engineering, renewable energy systems, smart grids, and electrical drives. Students also gain exposure to emerging technologies including electric vehicles (EVs), energy storage systems, automation, sustainable power solutions, and smart energy management.
The program emphasizes hands-on learning through laboratories, industrial training, internships, live projects, and simulations, enabling students to bridge the gap between theory and real-world applications. Focus is also placed on safety standards, energy efficiency, system reliability, and innovation in electrical engineering solutions.
Graduates of the B.Tech EE program are well-prepared for careers in power generation companies, transmission and distribution utilities, manufacturing industries, renewable energy sectors, automation industries, and research organizations, as well as for higher education and entrepreneurship.
