Course Description
The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering (ME) is a four-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mechanical systems, design, manufacturing, and thermal sciences. The program prepares graduates to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical components and systems used across a wide range of industries.
The curriculum covers core subjects such as engineering mechanics, strength of materials, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, manufacturing processes, machine design, industrial engineering, robotics, CAD/CAM, CNC machining, mechatronics, renewable energy systems, and automobile engineering. Students also gain practical exposure through well-equipped laboratories, workshops, industrial training, internships, and capstone projects.
The program emphasizes problem-solving, analytical thinking, innovation, and hands-on learning, enabling students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world engineering challenges. Modern tools such as CAD/CAE software, simulation tools, and advanced manufacturing technologies are integrated into the learning process to align with current industry standards.
Graduates of the B.Tech Mechanical Engineering program are equipped to pursue careers in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, energy, HVAC, robotics, industrial automation, and construction industries, or continue with higher studies, research, and entrepreneurship.
